AXL_SC1 : Engineering the scalable e-powertrain platform 
for high performance vehicles

Building on the remarkable 1.4MW electric powertrain of the Rimac Nevera—currently the most powerful in a production car—Rimac Technology’s powertrain team set out to create a scalable, modular platform designed to deliver exceptional performance across a range of high-performance vehicles. With the Nevera’s Quad-Motor system breaking 23 world records and delivering over 13,000 Nm of torque, the goal was to extend this groundbreaking technology to OEMs globally, from hypercars to SUVs.


The result was a powertrain platform that combines best-in-class power and torque density, high efficiency, and the ability to adapt to a variety of vehicle architectures. This modular system is designed to meet the performance needs of different global markets, offering high levels of reliability, safety, and scalability.

Innovative Engineering and Design

Our engineering team focused on creating a platform that could deliver exceptional power and torque while optimizing efficiency. Using high-performance silicon carbide (SiC) inverters, advanced cooling systems, and compact motor designs, the platform achieved impressive power outputs with minimal energy loss.
